Glaceria "Grace" Sanborn

Glaceria "Grace" Sanborn, age 71, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022 in Concord, North Carolina. She was born November 22, 1950 in Calbiga, Samar, Philippines, a daughter of the late Antonio DeAlagdon and Simeona DeAlagdon. Grace was a farmer during her early life. In 1976, She met her husband Anthony "Tony" Sanborn while he was in the U.S. Navy and immigrated to the United States in 1977. Grace loved to grow things from flowers to vegetable gardens. She also loved to sing, sew, and cook. She had a great appreciation for Filipino cuisine and made many friends playing social games on Facebook. She always threw the best parties, loved spending time with family, and all her many friends.

Grace is preceded in death by her mother, Simeona DeAlagdon; father, Antonio DeAlagdon; sister, Deloris Nepomuceno; and brother-in-law, Pablo Rebucas.

Survivors include her husband, Anthony "Tony" Sanborn; daughter, Elizabeth Sanborn and husband Jeffrey Williams; sisters, Gloria Rebucas, Lenora "Nora" Igong-Igong and husband Serapin, Elena Klodnicki and husband Billy, and Emily Schwalbauch; brother, Antonio DeAlagdon Jr. and wife Joselin; Nieces, Lisa Nepomuceno, Grace Nepomuceno, Narissa Nepomuceno, Tissie Nepomuceno, Emilda Rebucas, Hermenia Rebucas, Erlinda Rebucas, Irene Igong-Igong, Lea Igong-Igong, Analisa DeAlagdon, Kharen DeAlagdon, Tiffany Schwalbauch, Christina Schwalbauch; Nephews, Hector Nepomuceno, Pablo Rebucas Jr., Arnel Rebucas, Junny Rebucas, Noel Igong-Igong and wife Jemibelle, Anthony "Anton" DeAlagdon, Timothy John "T.J." Schwalbauch.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, November 11, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, 460 Branchview Dr., Concord, NC 28025. The funeral service will be on Saturday, November 12th at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord Chapel, officiated by Rev. Tim Newton.  Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
