Gerald Barbee

Gerald Lentz Barbee, 79 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Stanly Regional Medical Center.

Gerald was born October 29, 1935 in Stanly County to the late Robert Greene Barbee and the late Monnie Weavil Barbee. He was also preceded in death by wife, Jeanette Harvene Almond Barbee.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Friday, April 3, 2015, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Sam Wilson, will follow at 3:00 pm in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel. The burial will be at Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery, 24696 Hwy 73 in Albemarle.

He is survived by his sons, Lentz Barbee and wife Nancy of Albemarle, Randy Barbee of Mt. Gilead and Mike Barbee of Inman, SC; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
