George Richard Stewart

George Richard Stewart, 90, of Concord, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026 at NC State Veterans Home in Salisbury.

George was born March 26, 1936 in North Carolina to the late Donald Paul Stewart and the late Mabel M. Stewart. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Stewart, daughter, Donna Willette Taylor, and brother, Donald Paul Stewart, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. A funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Rodney Taylor of Harmony Church. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery, located at 331 Union Cemetery Rd. SW, Concord.

Survivors include grandson, Philip Taylor of Salisbury, NC, grandson, Todd Taylor of Gold Hill, NC, and grandson, Robert Taylor of Rockwell, NC.
