Gene Ray McAnulty, Jr.

Gene Ray McAnulty, Jr., 63, of Midland, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023 at his home.

Gene was born May 17, 1960 in Concord to Gene McAnulty, Sr. and Janie Medlin McAnulty.  Gene was also preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne Rhett McAnulty.

In addition to his parents, Gene is survived by his daughters, Tasha (Jason) Johnson of Lake Mary, FL, and Addyson McAnulty of Midland; sister, Sherri Steele of Concord; "sister," Dixie Kay (Mickey) Garmon of Concord; and nephew, Jeffery Harkey of Huntersville.  

Gene graduated from Central Cabarrus High School and worked for Hudson Bros Trailer Manufacturing for more than 30 years.  Gene was an avid motorcycle rider and proud member of Pub Runners MC.  He was affectionately known as "U-Turn."  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was a member of Remedy Church, Concord.  Most of all, Gene's daughters were the love of his life.  

Gene's Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, July 28, 2023, at Remedy Church, Concord, officiated by Rev. Alex Howard and Rev. Troy Beaver.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
