Garey Lowder

Garey Wayne Lowder, 59 years of age, of Concord, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013 at his home. Garey was born April 15, 1954 in Cabarrus County to the late James Clifford Lowder and Ruby Ramelle Biggers Lowder. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Monday, November 11, 2013 at Broadus Memorial Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the church sanctuary, with Rev. Rodney Quesenberry officiating. The burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. At other times, the family will be meeting at the home. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 42 years, Barbara Jean Maxwell Lowder of the home; daughters, Amanda Lowder and Amy Lowder, both of Concord; five grandchildren, Caylee Lowder, Ashley Puckett, Heather Puckett, Katie and Kayla Pollock; sisters, Julie Miller and husband Clayton of Lexington, Linda Streble and husband Rob of Kannapolis, and Marie Harward of Damascus, MD. Garey worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier, and was a member of Broadus Memorial Baptist Church.
