Fred Russell, Jr

Fred Anderson Russell, Jr., 79 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, November 14, 2014 at his home surrounded by his friends and family.

Fred was born September 25, 1935 in Stanly County to the late Fred Anderson Russell, Sr. and the late Doretha Glenn Merritt Russell. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jean Heatherly.

The memorial service will be at 1 pm on Monday, November 17, 2014 at West Albemarle Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Adam Hatley. At other times the family will be gathering at the home.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mildred Bingham Russell of the home; sons, Tony Russell and wife Amy of Albemarle, and Todd Russell and wife Donna of Albemarle; daughter, Dorothy Jean Russell of Albemarle; grandchildren, Chase and Stone Russell of Albemarle, Candace "Candi" Russell and husband Toby Williams of Angier, Larry Furr of Albemarle, Andrea Temple of Albemarle; three great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; brother, James "Snook" Russell of Monks Corner, SC, and sisters, Linda Gail Russell and Patricia Elaine Hatley, both of Albemarle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Community Home Care & Hospice, 1024 Albemarle Rd., Suite 904 Troy, NC 27371.
