Concord

Francis “Frank” Daniel Puvak, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife and children after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Frank was a man who loved his family deeply. His greatest joy came from his wife, his children, and his grandchildren. He was proud of the family he built and treasured the moments, memories, and traditions they shared together. His love, strength, and devotion will continue to guide the family he leaves behind.

Frank proudly served in the United States Navy from 1974 to 1981, completing three deployments during his time in service, where he found enjoyment in flying. Following his military service, Frank dedicated 40 years of his career to Safelite AutoGlass, where he retired as a Quality Control Manager.

Frank joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 2001 and faithfully served in various callings throughout his life. He served as a ward clerk for 12 years and later as a temple worker in the Columbia, South Carolina temple. His faith was an important part of his life and brought him purpose, service, and community.

Frank also found joy in many of life’s simple pleasures, including hunting, camping, hockey, and spending time with those he loved. He had a lifelong passion for cars and especially enjoyed his Mustangs, proudly owning four throughout his life. Frank was also incredibly skilled with his hands and could fix just about anything, whether it was a vehicle or a project around the house. He loved passing along his knowledge and enjoyed every opportunity to teach his grandchildren. He treasured the time he spent with his grandsons, Logan and Jacob, building things together, going to the shooting range, and sharing experiences they would always remember. He was proud to help his granddaughters, Grace and Madeline, learn how to drive, sharing in those special moments and milestones with them. His granddaughter, Abby, will always remember the special memory of her “Papa” attending her school’s Veterans Day concert, and Isabelle will cherish the times she enjoyed watching Charlotte Checkers hockey games with him. As a devoted hockey fan, Frank was thrilled to see the Stanley Cup when it came to Charlotte in 2024, creating a memorable moment tied to a sport he enjoyed.

Frank will be remembered for his perseverance, his generous heart, his love for his family, and the lasting impact he made on everyone fortunate enough to know him. After a long and difficult fight, he leaves behind a legacy of love and countless memories that will be cherished forever.

Frank was preceded in death by his father, Frank Puvak, and his mother, Katherine Puvak.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Cindy; his children, Daniel (Aimee) Puvak and Jaimie (Matthew) Wilson; his grandchildren, Grace, Logan and Jacob Wilson and Madeline, Abigail and Isabelle Puvak; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A celebration of Frank’s life will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1601 Cooper Avenue, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
