Frances Ritchie

Frances Teeter Ritchie, 76 years of age, of Harrisburg, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.

Frances was born November 29, 1938 in North Carolina to the late William Martin Teeter and Lela Chaney Teeter.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Spencer Lee Ritchie.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm, Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Friday at 11:00 am at Grace Presbyterian of Harrisburg in officiated by Rev. Doug Agnew and Rev. Eugene Boelte . Entombment will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

Survivors include son, William Ritchie of Harrisburg, daughter, Jennifer Ritchie of Harrisburg and one grandson Ryan Ritchie. Two sister Doris T. Teeter and husband Perry of Glade Valley, NC and Willie Ann Stayer and husband Tom of Mocksville NC, sister-in-law Betty Eudy of Monroe NC and numerous nieces and nephews.

Frances taught for 42 years in Mecklenburg, Wake and Cabarrus County with the majority of teaching at Harrisburg Elementary Fourth Grade. She graduated from Women's College which is now UNC-G and got her masters from UNCC. Frances was actively involved in Grace Presbyterian Church with Bible study groups and the choir.She participated in her retired teacher's book group.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice
