Mrs. Rickman went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Tucker Hospice House after a courageous 14 year battle with cancer. She was born in Myrtle Beach, SC, January 4, 1948, the daughter of the late Bert Johnson and Addie Sisk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Jimmy Johnson and Donald Johnson and sisters Lila Hill and Mary Deason. Pat is survived by her loving husband Bill Rickman of Concord, sons Ken Fincher and wife Tara Fincher, son Eric Fincher and stepson Tad Rickman and stepmother Maria Rickman. Sisters Janet Garret and Barbara Griffin. She is also survived by grandsons Dylan Fincher, Marshall Fincher and wife Cassie and Kenton Fincher along with many nephews and nieces. Also, their beloved mini Doxy “Murphy.†After a 19 year career at IBM, Pat enjoyed her retirement years with gardening, crafts, camping and cooking. She was a volunteer at Batte Cancer Center at CMC Northeast. In spite of fighting cancer herself, she always had a word of encouragement and prayer for the patients undergoing treatment. She will be dearly remembered for her big heart and warm smile. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Concord First Assembly, Suite 15. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
