Frances Geraldine Poplin

Frances Geraldine Poplin, 86, of New London, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Her passion for gardening and cooking brought joy to all those around her.

Geraldine was born March 18, 1939, in North Carolina to the late Arthur Misenheimer and the late Naomi Sells Misenheimer. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Bobby Poplin. Also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dennis Davidson.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Sunday at 2:00 pm at Paul’s Crossing Baptist Church in Richfield, NC officiated by Pastor Mark Sessions. Burial will follow at the Paul’s Crossing Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include son, Mickey (Joey) Poplin of New London, NC, daughter, Teresa Davidson of Guyton, GA, grandsons, Bobby Poplin and Tyler Poplin of New London, NC, grandson, Matthew Davidson of Savannah, GA, and her second husband, Gary Wilkinson of Michigan. Loving great-grandmother to 9 great-grandchildren, Noah, Hayden, Sadie, Kinsley, Jhett, Gunner, Jocelyn, Briella, and Brayden.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, NC or Paul’s Crossing Baptist Church.
