Frances Hasty

Frances Vanderburg Hasty, 84 years of age, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 4, 2014, surrounded by loving family at her home. Frances was born April 6, 1930 in Concord to the late John Francis Vanderburg and the late Etta Dorton Vanderburg. Frances was preceded in death by Gordon Hasty, her devoted husband for 57 years, five of her brothers and her sister, all of whom she loved so very much. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Sunday at 3:00 pm at Howell's Baptist Church in Concord. Burial will follow at the Howell's Baptist Church Cemetery at 3800 Baptist Lane in Concord. Survivors include daughter, Susan (Jimmy) Robertson of Matthews; son, Steve (Pam) Hasty of Charlotte; five grandchildren, Ashley Dellinger, Dana Dellinger, Stephen Hasty, Jennifer Robertson, and Matthew Robertson; and a brother, Jack Vanderburg of Greensboro. Frances loved her family so very much. Frances always felt blessed to have her many friends and these relationships brought joy into her life. She always had a smile on her face. Frances was deeply committed to her faith and love for Jesus Christ. She was a member of Carmel Baptist Church.
