Frances Almond

Frances Geanette Almond, 86 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Bethany Woods Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle. Frances was born May 23, 1927 in Albemarle to the late Robert Lee Stiller and the late Lillie Gaskey Stiller. She was also preceded in death by husband, Croson Walter Almond, and one grandson. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Tony Biles will follow 2:00 pm in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at the Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery in Albemarle. The family will also receive friends at the home of daughter, Helen Medlin on Tuesday evening. She is survived by two daughters, Helen Medlin and husband, Tom and Janie McManus both of Albemarle; three sons, Calvin Almond and wife, Maria of Wilmington, Fraser Almond of Camden, SC and Mark Almond of Albemarle; one brother, Vernon Stiller and wife, Sue of Albemarle; one sister, Edna Hickam of Albemarle; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
