Floyd Treece

Floyd Paul Treece, age 80 of Norwood, passed away on June 12, 2012 at Stanly Manor. The family will receive friends following a memorial service held at Freedom Holiness Church at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 16. Mr. Treece was born in Stanly County on December 4, 1931, to the late Claude B. Treece and the late Elma Rogers Treece. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Thompson Treece. He is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Lynn Harazzo of Badin and Donna Treece Caudle of Norwood; one son, David Paul Treece of Monroe; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Treece was a member of Freedom Holiness Church in Albemarle and had been employed as a cabinet maker for Bennie Russell in Norwood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, PO Box 601597, Charlotte, NC 28260. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Treece family.
