Faye Mullis

Faye Louise Thompson Mullis, 84, of Midland, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Faye was born October 12, 1938 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late Lila Mae Thompson.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Pine Grove Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow on Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Concord officiated by Rev. Daniel Triplett. Burial will immediately follow at the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery at 100 Pine Grove Church Rd., Concord.

Survivors include husband, William Mullis of the home; children, Crystle (Ricky) Sells and Karen (Greg) Nield; grandchildren, Krissie Sells, Kamyren Nield, Austin Nield, Grayham Nield; and many loving cousins.

Faye retired from the Independent Tribune after 29 years. She loved being outside gardening and watching the hummingbirds and all the wildlife. Faye's favorite thing was going to see the leaves in the mountains in the fall and that was her birthday present every year.

The Mullis family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff at Atrium Health Cabarrus and Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the giver's choice.
