Evelyn Godfrey

Evelyn Martin Godfrey, 76 years of age, of Harrisburg NC, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with Alzheimer's on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Universal Healthcare in Concord. Evelyn was born February 28, 1937 in Henderson County, NC. She was a graduate of R.S. Central High School and was employed by Western Electric for 25 years. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home - Concord. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord officiated by Rev. Charles Efird. Survivors include husband of 57 years, Arthur "Gene" Godfrey of Harrisburg, NC; son, Mike Godfrey and wife Joyce of Gastonia, NC; daughter, Robin Waddell and husband Michael of Concord, NC; daughter, Gena Koch and husband Bruce of Foster City, CA; sister, Lynda Petty of Clarksville, GA; sister, Jewel Rollins of Palm Desert, CA, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
