Eva Clay

Eva Clay, 81, of Concord, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013 at Universal Health Care in Concord. Mrs. Clay was born April 17, 1932 to the late Philip and Lucy Ann Knowles. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park of Kannapolis. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Bill Clay; one daughter, Sharon Barbee and husband Sherrill; one son, Guy Clay and wife Joyce; grandaughter, Krista Shepherd and husband Brian; two grandsons, Shane Barbee and wife Jennifer and Shaun Barbee and wife Kelly; eight great grandchildren, Dillon, Mackenzie and Davin Shepherd, Ava Brooke and Grant Barbee, Zachary and Kendall Barbee and Kasen Barbee; one sister, Lorene Smith; special nieces and nephews, Barbara Morgan, David and Aida Smith, Mike and Diane Smith. Hartsell Funeral Home is serving the Clay family.
