Eugene Adkins

Eugene Willis Adkins, 83 years of age, of New London, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014 at his home.

Mr. Adkins was born March 22, 1931 in Arkansas to the late Samuel Jackson Adkins and Esther May Williams Adkins.

Friends and family may come by Hartsell Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 11 am until 12:30 pm. A Graveside service, officiated by Rev. Fred Carpenter, will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Stanly Gardens of Memory, with military honors conducted by the Stanly County DAV, Chapter 12.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Jean Adkins of the home; and daughter, Pam Adkins and husband Jimmy Hinson of New London.
