Ernest "Buzzy" "Buzz" "Ernie" Schuls, age 77; loving father, husband, and veteran US Airman, of Indian Trail NC passed away Thursday April 11th 2024.

Buzz was born August 13th 1946 to the late Ervin William and Mathilda Josephine Schuls in Iron Mountain, MI, and grew up in Florence, WI.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra "Fifi" Adele Schuls, and his sister, Betty Schuls Kortenhoff.
  
Survivors include his daughter, Abby Marie Schuls Steninger and her husband. Matt Steninger of Concord NC, his brothers, Robert Schuls and Alfred Schuls, along with beloved niece, Irma Coronado Watkins and her husband, Danny and their daughter, Hailey. His "adopted" adult daughter, Loria Cass, his cat Max, and grand-pets; Daisy, Brisco, Cooper, and Gracie. His family of friends include the neighbors of Beacon Hills, members of the Riverside Gun Club and the good folks of Gold Hill NC.

Buzz enjoyed spending time with his family, competing in markmanship events, traveling, collecting antiques and memorobilia, and researching history. An avid lover of animals, memorials may be made to Cheryl's Ferals and Fosters of Charlotte NC/Lancaster SC. www.cherylsferalsandfosters.com

Memorial services will be held at Salisbury National Cemetary on June 13th 2024 at 1:00pm, followed by a celebration of life at Flynn's Restaurant in Gold Hill NC.
