Ernest Hopkins

Ernest Daniel “Bud” Hopkins, 85, of 41486 Smiley Road, Albemarle, passed away Friday, April 27, 2012. Born May 25, 1926 in Stanly County, NC, he was a son of the late William Alexander Hopkins and the late Emma Mae Dry. He is survived by his daughters, Darlene Tew of Garner, NC, Debbie Hayes of Salisbury, NC; son, Dale Hopkins of Albemarle, NC; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Alvin Hopkins and Dewey Hopkins, both of Albemarle; sisters, Lucy Helms and Ruth Hopkins. He was a self employed carpenter. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Hopkins family.
