Elsie Hinson

Elsie Mae Austin Hinson, 86, of 656 Sylvan Street, Concord, died Saturday, August 8, 2009, at her home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, August 11, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord. There will be a graveside service at 10 AM Wednesday, August 12, at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis, the Rev. Jim Pritchett officiating. Mrs. Hinson was born February 10, 1924 in Union County, the daughter of the late James Austin and the late Fronnie Hinson Austin. She had been employed as a spinner at Tuscarora Yarns in Mount Pleasant. Survivors include her husband, Marvin Edward Hinson, of Concord; sons, Douglas Marvin Hinson and wife, Joanne, of Salt Lake City, Utah and Danny Allan Hinson and wife, Beverly, of Indian Trail; sister, Lonie Harvel of Florence, SC; and one grandchild, Phillip Hinson.
