Elaine Comes

Elaine Lois Comes, 86 years of age, of Concord, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Brookdale Place in Concord, NC.

She was born September 24, 1928 in Bangor, PA to the late Marvin Thomas Snoddy and the late Alice Maude Bishop Snoddy. Elaine was also preceded in death by her husband Gladwin "Jim" Comes in 1986; her sister Jean Smith; as well as brothers Donald, Norwood and Robert Snoddy.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 31 at 11:00 am at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC, officiated by Rev. Timothy Newton.

Survivors include her two daughters, Linda Tischler of Concord, NC; and LuAnn Comes of Plantation, FL; her grandson David Tischler of Concord, NC; and brother Marvin Snoddy and wife Shirley of Macungie, PA; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Elaine retired from Learning Resources at Broward Community College in Davie, FL in 1990. She enjoyed spending time researching and publishing her family history.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
