Edwin Ward

Edwin Bryan Ward, 61 years of age, of Badin, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.

Edwin was born December 29, 1953 in Albemarle to the late William Bryan Ward and the late Frances Mildred Tucker Ward. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Dona Williams.

A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Dan Wray, will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church of Badin.

He is survived by his daughter, Lauren Ward Wilkinson and husband Daniel of Rockwell; grandchildren, Hailee Reynolds and Madison Wilkinson; brother, Jeffery "Dale" Ward and wife Bonnie of Badin; nieces, Melissa Zarhloul and husband Karim of Maryland, Adrienne Smith and husband Travis of Charlotte; nephews, William Bryan Foster and wife Shelley of Cornelius, Derek Ward of Badin; and great-nieces, Ellasyn Foster, Audrey Smith, and Addyson Harward.

Edwin was a graduate of North Stanly High School in 1973, and worked at Alcoa as a power division mechanic. He was a member of the Badin VFD for 20 years, and help to start the Coast Guard Auxillary on Badin Lake.
