Eddie Harwood

Eddie Delane Harwood, 60 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at his home.

Eddie was born June 30, 1955 in Stanly County to H. Ray Harwood and Helen Beatrice Lorch Harwood. He was also preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Matthew and Onnie Lorch; paternal grandparents, Hub and Dorothy Harwood; and beloved pets, Sally and Sammy.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Friday, November 13, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. David Hatley. At other times, the family will be gathering at the home of his parents, Ray and Helen Harwood, 27804 Hatley Farm Road in Albemarle.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Jenny Harwood and fiancé Danny of Albemarle; son, Matthew Harwood and wife Lauren of Albemarle; granddaughters, Saylor Grace and Olivia Blake Harwood; brother, Donnie Harwood and wife Rhonda of Locust; niece, Heather Harwood of Stanfield, and his beloved cat, Sissy and dog Bubby.

Eddie was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He loved his animals and playing cards. Christmas was his favorite holiday.
