Dwight Almond

Dwight Donald Almond, 85, of Albemarle, passed away on December 27, 2022, in Albemarle, NC.

He was born on March 29, 1937, to Albert and Mary (Deese) Almond in Albemarle, NC. He lived in the Ridgecrest community for many years and loved everything about it. Dwight worked for the DOT for the state of North Carolina for many years, which he thoroughly enjoyed. On any given day he would be found sitting on his porch waving at neighbors and friends as they drove by while enjoying cheese crackers and a Mountain Dew. Dwight loved classic Chevrolet cars, and, in his lifetime, he owned a1956, and a1964 Chevrolet which he absolutely adored. Dwight will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by mother, Mary Almond, father, Albert Franklin Almond, brother, Dale Almond.

Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, January 1, 2023, 3:00 pm at the Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Locust, NC, with, Elder Richard Broadway officiating.
