Douglas Naumann

Douglas Wayne Naumann , 79, of Charlotte, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, September 10, 2022, at his home in Charlotte.

Douglas was born April 11, 1943 in Wilmington North Carolina to the late Otto Naumann and the late Carrie Naumann. He proudly served his country in the Navy as an Electrician and was honorably discharged. He met the love of his life; Gayle and they were happily married for 47 years. Douglas enjoyed sailing, tennis and bike riding. He was a devout Christian and an active member of the Church of Christ.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on, Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord and will be officiated by Preacher Kirk Sams. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm. There will be a local celebration of life held immediately after the service at Kannapolis Church of Christ located at 2315 Concord Lake Rd., Kannapolis, NC 28083. The burial will follow on Friday September 16,2022 at the Hampton Memorial Gardens at 155 Butler Farm Rd, Hampton VA.

Survivors include his wife, Gayle Naumann of Charlotte, NC, daughter, Jeffrica Garcia of Mount Holly, NC, son, Douglas Wayne Naumann,II of Charlotte, NC, sister, Carolyn Robertson of Williamsburg, VA, multiple grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
