Doris Correll

Doris Hazel Tucker Correll, 84, of Concord, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013 at her home. The family will receive friends at Poplar Grove Baptist Church 3476 Poplar Tent Road Concord on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013 from 12 until 2 PM. Funeral services will follow a 2 PM, with Rev. Jimmy Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Correll was born on January 31, 1929 in Cabarrus County to the late Fred Tucker and Victoria Hinson Tucker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Flo Ella. She is survived by her husband, Alton Frank Correll of the home; daughter, Wanda Carroll and husband Ronnie of Concord; sisters, Carolyn Baker, and Kay Jenkins both of Concord, and Vergie Helms of Florida; step-children, Michael Correll and wife Brenda, Mark Correll, and Doris Correll; two grandchildren; Shelly Foster and husband O’Neal, and Jeff Carroll and wife Michaela ; four step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
