Donald Eugene Nivens, 72 years of age, of Midland, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center - Union in Monroe.
Mr. Nivens was born March 23, 1942 in North Carolina to the late Robert Pearl Nivens and the late Nellie Ruth Lowe .
He was also preceded in death by daughter, Donna Moroz.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday July 6, 2014 at 2pm at Mill Grove United Methodist Church; 7311 Mill Grove Road, Indian Trail, NC .
Survivors include wife, Joyce Moore of Midland; 2 sons, Don Nivens Jr. of Saluda, SC, John (Paige) Nivens of Charlotte; one daughter, Ann (Seth) Treadway of Moyock; two step-sons, David Moore of Charlotte, and Michael Moore of Spindale, NC; step-daughter, Nicole (Chris) Sanderson of Locust, nine grandchildren, Vincent, Jason, Samantha, Mikel, Tess, Drew, Julie, Madison, and Tanner.
Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County 5003 Hospice Lane Kannapolis, NC 28081.
