Donald Lee Munson

Donald Munson, 59, of Concord, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.

Mr. Munson was born April 1, 1966, in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, to the late Jimmy James Munson and mother, Dorothy Munson.

Donald spent a lot of his time giving back to his community alongside the Hellfighters of Concord. When Donald was not out giving back to the community, he was at home taking care of his mother and when he had the time, he also enjoyed going fishing and bowling. The thing Donald enjoyed most however, was spreading the word of God to anyone who would listen.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm, Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord and be officiated by Rev. Rick McDaniel and music by pianist Barbara Love. The burial will follow at the Cold Water Lutheran Church Cemetery at 1725 Gold Hill Road, Concord.

Survivors include mother, Dorothy Munson of Concord, NC, brother's, Glenn Munson, and Jimmy (Miriam) Munson, sister's, Linda (Mike) Price and Tamara Weaver and her partner. Also surviving are nephews, Dale, James, Brett, Christopher, Johnathan, Chris, CJ, and Zac along with Nieces Taylor, Jennifer and Amanda.
