Donald devoted over four decades to his career at Tuscarora Yarns, where his commitment and work ethic made a lasting impression on colleagues and the wider textile community. His time in the yard, tending to flowers, was a personal joy that reflected his gentle nature and patience. He found great peace in watching the beauty of growth and renewal, a passion that mirrored his approach to life itself.

Known for his gentle soul and kind heart, Donald treated everyone he met with warmth and respect. He was a man who quietly made the world better with his presence and his unwavering kindness. Above all else, Donald treasured his family, a source of immense pride and joy throughout his life.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Donna Pethel Brooks, who shared 40 years of marriage filled with love and companionship; his son Justin; his young grandson Michael; his mother Patty Cato of Stanfield; and his sister Donna M of Stanfield. These cherished family members remember him as a pillar of strength and gentleness.
