Donald Barbee
June 13, 1953 — August 27, 2021
Donald Lewis Barbee, 68, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 at Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte.
Donald was born June 13, 1953 in Stanly County to the late Daniel Lewis Barbee and the late Mary Lucille Barbee. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Patty Poplin.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:45 pm, Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Matton's Grove United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be on Wednesday at 4:00 pm at Matton's Grove United Methodist Church in Gold Hill officiated by Rev. Martha McDowell. Burial will follow at the Matton's Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery at 24732 Matton's Grove Church Road, Gold Hill.
Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Cathy Barbee of Albemarle, daughter, Angela (Barrett) Austin, son, Daniel (Kristen) Barbee, daughter, Debra (Tony Loftin) Barbee; grandchildren, Isaiah, Anslee, Kain, Averie, Kennedy, Paislee, Salem, Kaitlyn, Tony Jr., Natalie, Sommer, and Aaliyah.
