Denika Mills Coley

Denika Mills Coley, 50, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, January 19, 2024, at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord, surrounded by her loving family.

Denika was born August 14, 1973, in North Carolina to Dennis Ray Mills and Wanda Kay Spradley. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Monday, January 22, 2024 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle.  The funeral service will be on Tuesday, January 23, at 11:00 am at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Norwood, officiated by Pastor Jason Almond.  Burial will follow at the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery located at 32283 Bethlehem Church Road, Norwood.

Denika was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.  She enjoyed going shopping at thrift stores and yard sales to find the best deals.  Some of her favorite pastimes included going camping, traveling and cooking- she was the best cook.  Denika traveled the west and has been to well known locations such as the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National Park, Niagara Falls and Cody Wyoming.  But most of all, she cherished every moment that she got to spend with her family.  Denika loved the Lord with all her heart and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include husband, Bryan Coley; father, Dennis (Tammy) Ray Mills and mother, Wanda Kay Spradley; son, Hunter (Allison) Coley; daughter, Hayley Coley; granddaughter, Arya Coley; sister-n-law, Angie (Ron, Olivia) Denton; grandmother, Lois Spradley; and many beloved cousins.
