Della Clark

Della Louise Thompson Clark, 81, of Albemarle, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle on Sunday, October 14, 2012, from 6:00 pm until 8:00pm. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Gary Hunsucker, will be held at Vine Life Baptist Church , Albemarle on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 2:00 pm with a 30 min. state prior to the service. Burial will follow at Canton Baptist Church Cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at her daughter’s home. Mrs. Clark was born on April 26, 1931, in Albemarle, to the late Zeb Kersey Thompson and the late Della Burleson Thompson. She is also preceded in death by five brothers, Hewitt, Gaston, Bobby, Doyle and K.Z. Thompson; sister, Vernie Morgan. Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband of 62 years, Wayne Roosevelt Clark: son Michael Clark and girlfriend Mary Hash of Albemarle: daughter Wendy Shank and fiancé Neal Williams of Albemarle: two grandchildren Stephanie C.
