David Austin

David Wayne Austin, 62, of Concord, NC went Home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 10, 2022, at his home in Concord surrounded by his loving family.

David was born July 16, 1959, in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late James Leroy Austin and the late Betty Deaton Austin.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Austin.

Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Tammy Lynn Austin of the home; son, David Austin, and wife Ashleigh; daughter, Jennifer Jenkins and husband Danny Jenkins, Jr.; his adorable loving grandchildren, Eli, Isaac, Macie, Olivia, Sophia, and Vivienne; sister, Karen Arrowood and husband Ron; brother, Mark Austin and wife Luann, sister-in-law, Threasa Austin; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.  He was the love of Tammy's life.  David enjoyed fishing, cooking out with his family, and always looked for ways to help other people.  He will be dearly missed by his family and all those who knew him and loved him.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to David's work family at Superior Crane for all their love and support.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg, 12775 University City Blvd., Harrisburg, NC 28075.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev. Ray Helms.  The burial will take place at the Carolina Memorial Park in Harrisburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charity of your choice.
