Daisy Eudy

Daisy Mae Coble Eudy, 73 years of age, of Locust, passed away, to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 21, 2014 with her family by her side.

Daisy was born August 29, 1940 in Cabarrus County to the late Joseph James Coble and Georgia Elizabeth Menius Coble. She was also preceded in death by brothers, William, John, Paul, and Joe Coble; and one grandchild, Jessica Cheryl Eudy.

Daisy graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1959 and married Clay Van Eudy on August 23, 1959. Daisy was a dedicated member and pianist at Community Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Daisy loved to sing and play the piano and guitar. She enjoyed spending time in her garden.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 25, 2014 from 2 pm to 3 pm at Community Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3 pm in the church sanctuary officiated by Pastor Scott Williams, Rev. Roy Barbee, and Rev. Ed Grover. The burial will be in the church cemetery. At other times the family will be gathering at the home of her daughter, Patricia Russell, 8216 NC Hwy 742 in Oakboro.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Clay Van Eudy of the home; her children, Clay Eudy, Jr. of Locust, Patricia Russell and husband Jerry of Oakboro, and William Eudy of Locust; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Jansen of Concord, Annie Faye McBride of Kannapolis, and Alice Coble Voorheis of Concord
