Cyrus Mack Barr, Jr.

Cyrus Mack Barr, 91, of Harrisburg, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Clear Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Mint Hill.

Mack was born June 15, 1934 in North Carolina to the late Cyrus Mack Barr, Sr. and the late Ella Mae Barr.

He was also preceded in death by first wife, Clara June Barr; second wife, Patsy Lou Barr; daughter, Suzanne Barr; special cousin, Alvin Jordan; and granddaughter, Tasha Barr.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 6:45 pm, Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Jack Hartsell Memorial Chapel, officiated by Pastor Billy Sistare.

Mack retired from being a warehouse manager at Allison Erwin and then went on to become owner of Barr's Carpet Service. Mack enjoyed spending his time tinkering on his lawnmower and just staying busy. He would listen to country music, by artists such as Patsy Cline, Kitty Wells, and Hank Williams. He also spent many days at Murrels Inlet where he would go fishing. Mack loved being with his family, and was always in the company of his dogs. Mack was a family man, having cherished all the memories he got to make with them and will be sorely missed.

Survivors include sons, Michael (Brenda) Barr, Bill (Debby) Barr, Tony (Paula) Barr; daughter, Kathryn (Lee) Myers; stepsons, Danny and Ricky Jones; stepdaughters, Tori Jones, Dee Jones, and Lisa Hatley; grandchildren, Melanie Torres, Lanny Barr, and David Barr; grandson, Joshua Greene; 9 great-grandchildren.
