Curtis Drake

Curtis Landon Drake, age 66, of Midland, N.C., died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at CMC-Northeast in Concord, N.C. Drake was employed by Harris Teeter, Inc. as a diesel mechanic for 33 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Midland. The family will meet at the home. Mr. Drake served in the Army. Military graveside rites will be performed by Cabarrus County Honor Guard. He was the son of the late John Drake and the late Ella (Knight) Drake. He is also survived by his wife Betty (Poplin) Drake; daughter, Amanda Lynn Drake; son, Keith Drake and wife, Jennifer; sister, Joy Eudy; brother,Joel Drake, all of Midland, N.C. Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home, PO Box 100, Midland, N.C., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, July 31, 2009. Funeral service will be at First Baptist Church Of Midland at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 1, 2009 , Rev. Tom Gibbs officiating. Interment will be at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Midland, N.C.
