Croswell Edgar Campbell, 84 was called home on Monday March 24, 2025, at his residence Harrisburg, North Carolina surrounded by his wife and daughter. Croswell was born on May 12, 1940, in Newell, St. Elizabeth Parish, Jamaica, West Indies to the late Alan and Ada Campbell and was the second to last of thirteen children.
From an early age Croswell was called “Crossie” because of his infectious smile and friendly demeanor. He was the light that shined when in group settings and at social events.
His early working years were spent as a powerhouse technician with Alcan Jamaica Ltd, which operated in Jamaica since 1943 focusing on bauxite mining and aluminum production. For nearly four decades Crossie worked as a Machinist /Tool & Die Maker with two prominent companies (Ideal Corporation and Deutsch Relays) in New York.
Known as “Gpa” Crossie was a loving, devoted, and positive Grandfather. He attended most birthdays, recitals, sporting events, and graduations, which were exciting and memorable occasions. The love displayed through foods, stories, and culture will remain in their hearts forever.
After residing in New York for 51 years Crossie’s life became “Full Circle”, born in “Newell” JA, W.I. and ended near a town named “Newell” in North Carolina.
