Connie Love Kinley

Connie Love Kinley, 68 years young, of Midland, NC, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Matthews, NC, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Her final words of comfort and assurance to her husband and daughters were, “God’s got me.” She was given her rest that afternoon and is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Passing on the second anniversary of her mother Lucy’s death, she was surely greeted by her at the gates of heaven along with her father, brothers and sister, and so many other loved ones that have gone on before her.

Connie was born on November 22, 1957, in Concord, NC to the late Lucy Carelock Love Teeter and the late Conley Love. She was also preceded in death by stepfather Lane Teeter, brother George Vernon Love, brother John Carl Love, brother James Clyde Love, sister Debra “Debbie” Lynn Love, niece Michelle Huffstetler, great-nephew James Arthur, great-niece Kristina Webb Castor and great-grandson Landon Tucker.

Connie, known to her grandchildren as “Mawmaw,” will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, a devoted wife, and a kind and giving heart to everyone she met. You could walk into her home as a stranger and leave as family. Her warm smile, encouraging words and delicious home-cooked meals are some of the things that will be missed the most. She was small in stature, but her hugs gave immense joy and comfort. Her love for her family and extended family will never be forgotten.

Survivors include husband Fred “Buster” Kinley of Midland, NC, her furbaby and constant companion Gizmo “Gizzy” of Midland, NC, daughters Donna “Lucy” Niederhelman (Joe Wilson) of Umatilla, FL, Paula (Matthew) Coates of Concord, NC, Suzanne (David) Hill of Locust, NC, Erica Kinley (Kim Rider) of Morrisville, NC, Sharon Kinley (Rick Traywick) of Norwood, NC, Karen (Ivan) Osorio of Stanfield, NC, Shannon (Matthew) Jones of Oakboro, NC, and Heather Kinley (Cory Morton) of Midland, NC; grandchildren Major Day of Umatilla, FL, Benjamin “Benji” Affolter and Beringer Coates of Concord, NC, Trinity Coates of Chapel Hill, NC, Christian Kinley (Morgan Tucker) of Albemarle, NC, Taylor Hill and Annistyn “Annie” Hill of Locust, NC, Madelyn “Maddie” Traywick of Norwood, NC, Kailey Osorio of Stanfield, NC, Manuel Osorio, Jonathan Zelaya Osorio, Victor Carbajal Osorio, Jason Carbajal Osorio and Angelina “Angie” Osorio of Oakboro, NC, and Declan Laurence Kinley of Midland, NC

Survivors also include sisters Linda Taylor of Midland, NC, Martha Love of Midland, NC; brothers, Benny Teeter of Midland, NC, and Robert (Kathy) Teeter of Albemarle, NC. Also surviving are countless nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews that she loved as her own children.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 13, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home, 13575 Broadway Avenue, Midland. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Jack Hartsell Memorial Chapel.
