Clifford Newton, Sr

Clifford “Clyde” Newton, Sr., 68, of Concord, graduated to his heavenly home on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at home. Clifford was born on September, 18, 1943, to the late Finely Albertus Newton and the late Lula Mae Deese Newton. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Newton. He is survived by four sons, Clifford C. Newton, Jr. (Butch) and Timothy Mark Newton, both of Mt. Gilead, Jeffery Newton and Timothy Varner both of Concord; a daughter, Stephanie Conrad of Denton; a brother, Ralph C. Newton of Midway, GA: 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service wil be held at Mission of Hope, 500 West 8th Street, Kannapolis, NC on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 12:00 noon. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Newton family.
