Clarence Clemons, Jr

Clarence Forrest Clemons, Jr., 80 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014 at his home.

Clarence was born January 20, 1934 in Coalwood, WV to the late Clarence Forrest Clemons, Sr. and the late Myrtle Genevieve Shell Clemons. He was also preceded in death by three sisters.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel. At other times the family will be gathering at the home.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara "Bobbie" Ann Clemons of the home; sons, Eddie Clemons, and Wayne Clemons and wife Cindy, all of Albemarle; five grandchildren, Samantha, Daniel, Neil and Adam, and Matthew, two great-grandchildren, Makayla and Madline; five brothers; and three sisters.

Clarence honorably served his country in the United States Air Force, and worked at Collins & Aikman as a welder.
