Clarence Burnette,Jr.

Clarence Alexander “C.J.” Burnette. Jr., 52, of 1010 Hwy. 24/27, Locust, NC, passed away October 12, 2010 at CMC Union in Monroe. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland, on Thursday from 6 to 8. At other times they will meet at the home. Funeral service will be at First Baptist Church of Locust, with a 30 minute state, Friday at 4 PM. Dr. Kinney Wallace will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Born in Stanly County on November 27, 1957, he is the son of the late Clarence Alexander Burnette, Sr. and the late Hattie Ann Huneycutt Burnette. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Bonnie Sue Morton Burnette of the home; son, Derek Burnette; daughter, Shanna Curry and husband Frank, granddaughter, Alivia Burnette; sisters, Roxie Irby and husband, Don, Rosa Little and husband, Delanie, all of Locust.
