Christopher James Thomas

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Christopher James Thomas, aged 25, of Kannapolis, NC. Christopher passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025.

Christopher was born August 1, 2000, in Monroe, North Carolina. He was loved and raised by Joyce Thomas, and was a cherished son, uncle, nephew, and friend.

He is survived by his mother; Joyce Thomas and father; James Thomas, his grandmother; Frances McPhatter, and three sisters; Michelle Coppedge and husband Chad, Heather Thomas and husband Dewayne, Kelly Kim and husband Mike. Christopher is also survived by two half siblings; Jacob Wilson and Abbie Wilson. Christopher is also survived by several nieces and nephews; Kody Thomas and wife Leigh, Blake Thomas and wife Kat, Emma Coppedge, Aydan Kim, Chase Thomas, Walker Coppedge, Layla Kim, Max Coppedge, and Oaklyn Thomas.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 5, 2025, from 4:00 pm - 5:15 pm at Community Church of Mount Pleasant, 400 North Main St. Mount Pleasant, N.C. 28124. The Memorial Service will follow at 5:30 pm and will be officiated by Pastor David Snow and Associate Pastor Josh Fowler.
