Charles Taylor

Charles Richard "Ricky" Taylor, 61 years of age, of Locust, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013 at CMC - NorthEast in Concord. Mr. Taylor was born November 25, 1952 in Cabarrus County to the late Charles Lester Taylor, Jr. and Wilma Madge Taylor. He was also preceded in death by sister, Linda Morrison. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will be at 6:00 p.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Henry Ward. Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Lynn Taylor of the home; daughters, Alisha Hammond and husband, John, of Charlotte, Amanda Tuck and husband, Anthony, of Timberlake, NC; brother, Darrell Taylor of Norwood; sisters, Delores Canaday of Concord, Donna Smith of Locust, and Michelle Lee of Oakboro; grandsons, Jordan Tyler Hatley, Bryceson and Paxton Tuck, and granddaughter, Soren Williams. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905 or Alzheimer Association, 3800 Shamrock Dr., Charlotte NC 28215.
