Charles Hatley

Mr. Charles Lambert Hatley, 75 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015, at Bethany Woods in Albemarle.
Charles was born July 13, 1939 in Stanly County to the late Clinton William Hatley and the late Odessa Hatley. He was also preceded in death by infant son, David Landen Hatley; and brother, Edward Hatley.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Chip Alsobrooks. Burial will follow the service at the Big Lick Baptist Church Cemetery, 626 Big Lick Road, Oakboro, NC.
Survivors include wife of 54 years, Joyce Hatley of Oakboro; son, Jeff Hatley of Oakboro; two daughters, Debbie Cress and husband Bruce of Concord, and Kathy Hahn and husband Todd of Locust; two grandsons, David Hatley and Joshua Cress; great-grandson, Brayden Hatley; and sister, Elizabeth Hatley Culp and husband Eric of New London.
Charles was a life long auto mechanic and owner of Hatley's Garage, and was known for his exceptional work.
