Carolyn Dean White Rabon

Carolyn Dean White Rabon, entered her heavenly home on May 20, 2024, just five days prior to her 91st birthday.
Carolyn was born to McCamey Bost White and Vena Anne Garmon White on May 25, 1933, at home in Midland, Cabarrus County.
She retired from Southern Bell/AT&T and from Concord Telephone Company. Carolyn volunteered at Atrium Northeast for 13 years. She was active in Bethlehem Baptist Church of Concord and Broadus Church. Having been self-taught to play the organ at a very young age, Carolyn continued her musical education at CPCC Charlotte. She was organist at Bethlehem Baptist for many years until her recent illness. She also played the organ at other area churches and for many weddings, funerals and other church events.
Carolyn married Ronald Eugene Rabon on June 30, 1962, and they were happily married until he passed away in 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, McCamey Bost White, Jr.; sisters, Phyllis Ann White and Joyce Elaine White (Gabe).
Carolyn is survived by her beloved twin sister, Betty Jean White Pope; nephew, Jerry W. White (Brenda); niece, Jodi G. Pope; two great-nephews, Jeremy D. White and Robbie S. White.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 24th, 2024, at 10am at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, 460 Branchview Drive, Concord, NC 28025. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11am and be officiated by Rev. Timothy Walters. The burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis at Hwy. 29N at I85, Exit 58, Concord.
Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church located at 42 Liske Ave., Concord, NC 28027 or Broadus Church located at 59 Green St. SW, Concord, NC 28027.
