Carolyn Lowder Solomon, 74 years of age, of Concord, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014.

Mrs. Solomon was born March 8, 1940 in China Grove, NC to the late John Ernest Lowder and the late Eliza Morton Lowder.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Montgomery Solomon, Sr. on February 16, 2010.

Carolyn was truly a caring person who judged no one. She had love for everyone she met, and shared the gospel with all those she met. She never turned away anyone in need. Carolyn will surely be missed by all who had the privilege to know her. In her spare time she loved working in her yard, working on puzzles and reading a good book. She was also an avid Elvis Presley fan.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord officiated by Rev. Frank Sossamon. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis, NC.

Survivors include her sons, John Alan Solomon and wife Caryl of Concord, NC; Michael Solomon and wife Lisa of Concord, NC; and Monte Solomon and wife Tina of Salisbury, NC; brothers, James Lowder of Albemarle, NC; Robert Lowder and wife Edith of Albemarle, NC; JW Lowder and wife Debbie of New London, NC; her sisters, Elizabeth Sossamon of Mount Pleasant, NC and Ernestine Parker of Concord, NC; as well as nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
