Carolyn Burgess

Carolyn Darlene Burgess, 76, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 at CMC - NorthEast in Concord. Mrs. Burgess was born May 29, 1937 in Virginia to the late Ellis Miller Purser and the late Lila Stallings Purser . She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Lloyd "Bill" Burgess, in 2005. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home - Albemarle. The memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. George T. Stallings, Jr. Survivors include sons, Randy (Kelly) Burgess of Albemarle, Mark Burgess of Lancaster, SC, Todd Burgess of Richmond, VA; daughter, Jill Burgess of Midland; grandchildren, Matt, CJ, Jeremy, Kaylee, Marybeth, John Paul, and Janie Burgess.
