Carl Linker

Carl Allen Linker, Sr., 86, of Locust, NC passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023.

Carl was born September 13, 1936 in Stanly County to the late Burton E. Linker and the late Zelma Little Linker.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Carl "Allen" Linker, Jr.; and brothers, Gene Linker and Joe Linker.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Shirley Hartsell Linker of the home; son, Ernie Linker and wife Holli; daughter in law, Talisa Linker; grandchildren, Jerrika Mullinix and husband Matthew, Nadalee Linker, Cody Linker; great granddaughter, Ellis Claire Mullinix; and Baby Boy Mullinix expected to arrive in May.

Carl was known as a jack of all trades.  He enjoyed spending time on his tractor tending to his farm, and visiting his boys on their job sites where he would bring them biscuits and such.  But most of all he loved his family dearly, especially his grandkids.  Carl will be truly missed by all those who knew him and loved him.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Freedom Baptist Church, 20015 Coley Store Rd., Locust, NC.  The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Gerald Baucom and Rev. Wally Gilmer.  Burial will take place in the church cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a special place of your choice.  Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Linker family.
