Bonnie Mullis

Bonnie Simpson Mullis, age 87, was called home on April 20, 2026. She was born on May 6, 1938, in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she spent her early years before moving with her family to Union County.

Bonnie was a devoted wife to her late husband, William “Bill” Mullis, until his passing in 2015. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Stone, and her brother, Jivie Simpson, as well as her beloved sons, Justin Scott Mullis and Daryl Leslie Mullis.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Julie Elkins, along with her eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her love and presence.

Bonnie was known for her strong work ethic and caring heart. She was rarely still, always working or tending to chores, and she found joy in taking care of her home and family. Her kindness and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met, and she was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

A funeral service to honor Bonnie’s life will be held on April 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memory Gardens.

Bonnie’s life was one of quiet strength, love, and dedication. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
