Bonnie Martin

Bonnie Rebecca Smith Martin, 49 years of age of Concord, passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday, October 19, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Martin was born January 6, 1963 in Cabarrus County. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael J. Martin, in 2005. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Saturday, October 20, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will be at 3:30, Sunday, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 139 Manor Avenue Southwest in Concord, officiated by Father Dionne. Burial will follow in West Concord Cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at her home. Survivors include her loving husband, Michael Joseph Martin, of the home; her son, Creaig Helms of China Grove; her daughter, Tabatha Helms of China Grove; her parents, Larry and Lorene Owens; her brothers, Mark and David Smith; her sister, Dawanna Smith; and six grandchildren.
